In 2007 we purchased acreage 12km north of Yeppoon. We moved here to the beautiful Capricorn area to start our own hydroponics business. Over the following year we constructed our three fully enclosed hot houses. As the property had only a boundary fence we had to build the entire infrastructure that is necessary to start a brand new business. Sheds and cold rooms had to be built, water tanks installed, irrigation to the hothouses from the pump shed trenched underground.Due to George’s background in farming and irrigation we were able to do everything our selves with some help from family, friends and neighbours.



Our roses and gerberas are grown inside specially built hothouses. These hothouses help to keep pests away and to enable us to grow our flowers all year round with control. Occasionally we get some pests into our hothouses but instead of spraying harmful insecticides we implemented IPM
strategies for healthier flowers.



We have now opened our farm direct to the public. Our flowers are farm fresh to customers in Yeppoon, Rockhampton or Gracemere.  Here at Wilson Roses we believe that giving the public the opportunity to buy farm fresh from us is just what the local people require just like their fruit and vegetables. You can visit us out here on our farm 7days a week and buy arrangements made by our professional florists. We have a variety of arrangements listed here on our website. You can order online for either pick up or delivery. For phone orders just quote the reference number located underneath the arrangement.
