Sunset It fascinates almost everyone every day: Sunset! Nicole Hersmus (Belgium) created this phenomenon with flowers and leaves and you really see the sun reflected in the sea. |

East meets West
Nicole was requested to make flower arrangements with the theme: "East meets West". As the sun rises every day in the East and sets in the West she came up with this idea to create the Sunset. At the Castle in Alden Biesen many visitors were stunned about her arrangement. |

Pot chrysanthemums
The materials she choose are pot chrysanthemums and Multifloras because there are so many suitable colours available for a sunset performance. From dark red to all kinds of orange and from bright to deep yellow and all the shades in between. |

|
Multifloras
Amongst others she used the Multufloras Jolly Cheryl, Tabitha, Passadena Jogger and Annika. Besides, the flowers of these potmums are easy to handle and very strong. |

The sea
To build the image of the sea she used Cordyline leaves, crosswise sticked. The dark reddish leaves seem to reflect the light of the sun. Very clever. |

Spiral and circle
At the same show Nicole also made a beautiful Go Around Spiral with colours that gradually change the spiral from dark red to bright yellow. Here again she made use of the advantages of the potmums and the many available colours. To complete the East-West composition you see next to the Go Around spiral the Bamboo circle, made with the yellow contrasting mum in perfect harmony. |
